BCS Ticket prices skyrocket as short sellers try to cover

Bcs tickets for sale
BCS National College Football Championship Ticket prices skyrocket as short sellers try to cover orders for tickets they did not have and speculated that they could buy the tickets in for less than they sold te tickets for. Right now Thursday morning tickets are trading for $3500 CASH ..as in COD come pick them up for upper level seating and better seats are selling for $6,000 to 10,000 each.

Why did this happen? Major ticket brokers short sell tickets just like stock brokers short sell stocks, and there is a huge short squeeze going on right now with Stubhub the largest player in selling zone tickets ( short selling) telling their largest ticket broker suppliers to produce the tickets you promised or We will go into the marketplace and fill the orders and then sue you for the losses We incur filling the ticket orders.
Will BCS ticket prices stay this high..my GUESS No.. buyers and sellers will fill the orders, and also pay some people not to go to the game taking pressure off the makret as less unfilled orders are left, it will be fun to watch this story develop. stay tuned We will have more on this issue growing BCS ticket scandal later today.

Michigan Stadium sets world record for hockey attendance

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan players didn’t know what was more impressive: playing in front of 113,411 fans outdoors or seeing their 71-year-old coach Red Berenson clap when the attendance was announced as a new world record for hockey.
“I actually saw him smile, and saw him clap, and that doesn’t happen much,” Michigan freshman defenseman Jon Merrill said. “On Monday, I’m sure the smile will go away.”

Michigan Stadium officially only has a capacity of 109,901, but Guinness Book of World Records adjudicator Mike Janela was on site to verify the crowd size for No. 11 Michigan’s 5-0 win against Michigan State. It shatters the previous world record of 77,803, set last spring when the Germans defeated USA 2-1 in a domed soccer stadium at the World Ice Hockey Championships in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

Janela said Guinness counts everyone in the venue to watch the game, excluding only participants and the media. There was a counting of ticket barcodes to verify everyone who bought tickets showed up.

“It was amazing,” said Michigan captain Carl Hagelin, a New York Rangers’ draft pick who had two goals and an assist. “It was probably the loudest environment I’ve ever been in.”

The hockey crowd also the Michigan Stadium record, breaking the football mark of 113,090 set against Connecticut on Sept. 4.

“I thought Michigan put on a great show,” Michigan State coach Rick Comley said. “It was everything that it was built up to be.”

The 113,411 also represents the highest attendance ever for an NCAA event.

BCS Tickets and rankings for week 12

The Week 12 AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll Don’t Agree on #2
The week 12 college football rankings for tickets go to http://www.tixx.com are out, and they should mirrors the week 12 BCS rankings for tickets go to http://www.tixx.com. The BCS rankings for tickets go to http://www.tixx.com will come out later today, and while they are only affected in minor doses by the USA Today Coaches Poll, there shouldn’t

be much of a difference in the top six teams. All six undefeated teams won this week, and while there are only a few points separating #2 and #3 in the standings, it could turn big as the BCS standings start to finalize. Someone could argue though, that the week 12 rankings for tickets go to http://www.tixx.com still mean nothing, and that none of the BCS Polls will make a difference until the Florida vs. Alabama SEC Championship Game.
Florida is once again the #1 team in both the week 12 AP Top 25 and week 12 USA Today Poll. In the AP Top 25 Alabama takes the #2 slot, followed by Texas, and the two teams are reversed in the Coaches Poll, giving Texas a small leg up for when the BCS standings are revealed. #4 is TCU, #5 is Cincinnati, and #6 is Boise State in both of the polls, marking no real change in any of those undefeated teams over the past week. The most recognizable team below the six undefeated teams is Georgia Tech, which is #7 in both polls, and sits with a 10-1 overall record that has to be recognized now.
One thing to note from all of the week 12 college football rankings for tickets go to http://www.tixx.com is that there are four Pac-10 teams in both polls, with Oregon, Stanford, Oregon State, and USC all getting love in both the AP and Coaches Poll. The argument could also be that California (7-3) and Arizona (6-3) also deserve to be ranked, with Arizona still having a chance at the Pac-10 title if a few things can go their way. Though the Pac-10 has taken themselves out of contention by beating up on each other during the regular season, they still seem to be an extremely deep conference, with a possible seven teams going to bowl games if UCLA can improve upon their 5-5 record.
There are still a lot of things that need to be decided as the season winds down, but it is becoming more and clearer that one or more teams are going to be left out in the cold when it comes to the BCS Bowl Games and even the BCS National Championship. TCU has been playing extremely well, and the SEC is afraid to play Boise State, so it’s really hard to discount anything that either team has done this season. Cincinnati has been great too, but too many voters are still favoring Alabama and Florida to give them a real shot at this point. What these four through six ranked teams need is an upset Saturday to knock off someone else.
